Released in 2024, Bac Bo is a live dealer casino game by Evolution. It’s a fusion of Sic Bo and Baccarat. But instead of cards, this game is played with dice. There are four dice and two hands – Player and Banker. And unlike live baccarat tables, this game is not hindered or slowed down by third-card rules. Instead, Bac Bo live offers a moderately paced yet easy-to-learn gameplay that is also beginner-friendly. The absence of any card shoe exchange or a game history reset makes the game run smoothly and keeps the players engaged for a long time. Apart from the fluid gameplay, Bac Bo also offers high payouts.

Bac Bo is an extremely easy live casino game. It doesn’t involve a lot of brainwork. You can simply enjoy the game with a bit of relaxation. The objective is to guess which hand will get the higher dice total and bet on that.
There are three betting positions in the game – Player and Banker and Tie. The four dice are divided into two pairs – two on the Player’s side and the other two on the Banker’s side. The dice are placed on an automatic shaker that goes down when the dice are shaking and rises up when the shaking stops. The blue pair of dice on the left side is for the Player, and the red pair of dice on the right side is for the Banker.
All four dice start shaking at the same time but stop separately. The Player 1 dice stops first, then the Banker one dice stops. The two sides are compared, and whichever side gets the higher first number, the dice on that side will stop next, followed by the final and the fourth dice. Once all the dice stops, the total of the two dice on each side is added, and the totals are then compared. Whichever side has the higher number wins.
You can place your bet on either Player or Banker, or Tie. The minimum betting amount is £1, and the maximum is £10,000. If you place your bet on Tie and it wins, you’ll get 90% of your stake back. Once your bet is placed, the dice will start shaking. Each round has a duration of about 40 seconds, including the 15-20 seconds betting time.
Being a simplistic game, Bac Bo doesn’t bring you a lot of big wins. The payouts for the Player and Banker bets are small but even. If you place a bet of £50 on either of these two hands, and you win, £50 will be added to your winnings. So, the payout for winning on the Player or Banker bet is 1:1.
On the other hand, if you bet on a Tie and you win, the payout increases. But for each win on a Tie bet, the payouts are different depending on the Tie’s value (the sum total of each pair of dice on both sides). This goes as follows:
Bac Bo has an optimal RTP of 98.87%. So, the payouts for Player and Banker are moderately high. Although the RTP for a Tie bet comes down to 95.52%, the payouts are higher. However, the chances of winning a Tie bet are not that frequent, so the total winning from this game is not something massive, but at least you won’t lose a lot of money.
Bac Bo, being a very unfussy game with only two main betting options (Player and Banker), barely requires a proper strategy. Live betting statistics are displayed on the screen. You can follow them up and decide which hand to wager on.
However, it is recommended to pick one of the two main bets and stick to it in all the rounds. If you lose one bet, you should double your stake in the next round to even out the loss. The chances of winning on your bet is higher if you stick to one side each time since it’s sort of a 50/50 bet.
The Tie bet has better payouts, but the shaking of the dice barely results in a tie. And even if the dice land in a Tie, the probability of its sum total being either 2 or 12 to bring you an 88x reward is very low. Therefore, a Tie bet can cause you to lose a lot of money, especially if you bet a large amount. So, it’s advised to consider the Tie betting option as a side bet, which is equal to your main bet’s 1/10. Therefore, you should place a Tie bet that equals your Player or Banker bets’ 1/10. This way, you can gain back some of your lost stakes when a Tie lands. And if you’re really lucky and a good dice total with higher payout lands, you’ll bag some good winnings.
Evolution Gaming brings a fresh, new twist to the casino gaming world with baccarat and Sic bo combined. The long-standing popularity of both games is seen in Bac Bo Live. Its simplicity allows anyone, regardless of how little or how much experience they may have in baccarat, to pick up the rules in no time at all and start playing. It takes less than a minute to play, so even if you’re not that familiar with the game, you can probably learn the rules in just 30 seconds! The interface is uncomplicated, so you can find all the options easily on the screen. Since there is a very low possibility of a huge loss of stakes, Bac Bo is ideal for gamblers with a tight budget.
