Like many of the slots from 1×2 Gaming studio, Juicy Ninja is quite a basic game with familiar symbols. Here we have the familiar fruits, bells and sevens that have been around since the very first mechanical slot machines. They are well-drawn, but nothing that special. The twist on the theme is, of course, the cartoon ninja that stands for the wild. There is a fun and rather dramatic soundtrack, with enough variation that it doesn’t feel too monotonous. This is a game to play with the sounds on. The reels spin in the conventional way, and there are no extra animations on the symbols.
Layout
As mentioned earlier, Juicy Ninja is a 5-reel game with 243 winning lines. At each spin, all winning lines pay out, so there are often multiple wins in a single spin. Each spin requires 20 coins, with a range of 0.01 to 5.00 per coin. The minimum stake is therefore twenty pence, going up to a hundred pounds per spin. A fairly good range for most players. The one thing truly lacking in the Juicy Ninja slot is bonuses and other special features, which we will clarify further below.

While it is true that the casino site keeps, on average, 4% of all the money staked on this game, that is only over time and many players. Short-term gains, as well as losses in excess of 4%, cannot be accurately predicted using RTP or house edge. If that were the case, slots would be too predictable and therefore no fun to play. All of these symbols can be substituted by the wild, which is the little cartoon ninja. He is clad in black with just his eyes showing, brandishing two samurai swords. Whenever he appears, the wild expands to fill that whole reel and bring about multiple wins. The wild symbol never appears on the first reel. However, the ninja wild is the single, solitary special symbol in the whole game, and therein lies the main problem with Juicy Ninja. While it is a nice feature, it simply is not enough.

What can we write about Juicy Ninja bonuses, when there aren’t any? There are the expanding wilds, but aside from that there is nothing. Not a single multiplier, no free spins rounds, no extra bonus game. We have to say, it’s a bit disappointing. Conclusions
We had mixed fortunes with the Juicy Ninja slot, so here are our conclusions. We did like the simplicity of the game, there are no distractions and that makes a change from some of today’s feature-laden and over-animated slots. On balance, however, there is just not quite enough there for this game to deserve the name ‘juicy’.
We tried a few different bet levels, and had the most luck with a medium bet. Without bonuses, free spins, multipliers or any other special features, it seems like it should be impossible to turn a profit with this game. Not so, of course, since there are a few big and even mega wins to be had, if two or more of the reels turn wild and there are some high paying symbols dropping.
On the whole, the medium bet seemed to balance the spend per spin with the gains from the expanding wilds, and that was the one time that we ended our run with more than we started.
